Each year, District 5580 Rotary Clubs award scholarships for students to attend RYLA — a one-week leadership experience focused on growth, teamwork, and service.

Being selected for RYLA is an honor — participants are chosen for their curiosity, leadership potential, and commitment to their schools and communities. Students attend camp on a full scholarship funded by their local or area Rotary Club.
How to Apply
- Apply here starting December 1. The online application will appear on this page once the scholarship period opens.
- Connect with a Rotary Club. Let your local Rotary Club know you’re interested in attending District 5580 RYLA.
- Wait for notification. Selected students will be contacted by their sponsoring club and the RYLA team with details about registration, travel, and next steps.
Who Should Apply
RYLA is designed for students who in Fall 2026 will be entering their junior and senior year of high school. We are specifically looking for folks who:
- Want to grow as leaders and learn to work with others
- Care about their communities and want to make a difference
- Enjoy meeting new people and trying new challenges
What Happens After You Apply
If selected, you’ll receive a scholarship covering the full cost of camp, including lodging and meals. Rotary Clubs and the RYLA Team will provide details about travel and pre-camp requirements once selections are made.
Have a little extra time and want to be extra prepared? Fill out those medical forms! They are due June 1, 2026.
